Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer / Maintenance Engineer to join our team at the Entertainment Area within Iraq Mall, covering an area of approximately 26,500 m². The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of all amusement rides and attractions, working closely with the installation team from the initial setup through ongoing operations. This role requires hands-on expertise with amusement machinery and a proactive approach to preventive maintenance.
Key of responsibility:
- Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of all amusement rides in coordination with the installation team.
- Conduct regular maintenance, inspections, and troubleshooting to ensure safe and efficient operation of rides and attractions.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance plans to minimize downtime and maximize ride reliability.
- Respond promptly to operational issues, performing repairs and adjustments as required.
- Maintain detailed maintenance records, logs, and service reports.
- Ensure all maintenance and repair work adheres to safety standards, manufacturer guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
- Train and guide the maintenance team on proper handling and servicing of amusement rides.
- Collaborate with the operations team to optimize ride performance and visitor safety.
- Coordinate with external vendors and suppliers for parts, equipment, and specialized support.
- Perform any additional duties assigned by the Entertainment Area Manager.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in amusement ride maintenance, theme park operations, or related machinery-based field.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical components, hydraulics, pneumatics, and safety protocols related to amusement rides.
- Hands-on experience in installation, repair, and preventive maintenance of amusement equipment.
- Proactive problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills in Arabic and English.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and lead junior maintenance staff.
- Flexibility to respond to emergency maintenance needs, including weekends or public holidays if required.
